Dear Emily,
So glad to hear that you had a good weekend as well. You're definitely right about Jackson. He knows that something is going on, but he's not quite sure what... and he has no idea what's in store for him! The last two mornings he has come inside all covered in mud. What a beast! My little girl is going to be covered in the mud from his jowls and sweet kisses.
So today is my three year wedding anniversary. I have loved reflecting on this past year. It's been so crazy! We have lived on three different coasts, made drastic life changes, gone on an amazing vacation, finished flight school, and joined an official squadron. Joining a real squadron means that life is going to be drastically different this year. It's like we just joined the Marine Corps and he is really going to be gone a lot. One more year and he will deploy, plus several shorter trips between now and then. I try not to dwell on this, but instead take each day and live it fully and be grateful for every moment that he is home. I think for the first time in a very long time, I am not wanting to rush life past. This is the time I have been waiting for. So good!
Well, babe is due in 14 days! Her nursery is steps closer to being done. Today, I am working on giving my old pony some love. I rode this rocking horse when I was a little girl and now my little girl will ride it. So sweet! Maybe I will get her some boots and a sundress like I wore when I was riding. So sweet!
Love, Jennifer
