If you haven't already discovered it (and I think you probably have), when you're a new mom, the smallest things can seem so special. For me, it was an afternoon, maybe 2.5 hours by myself, a haircut, heels, and eating chipotle alone. Does that sound pathetic? It was quiet and simple and independent. I love spending my days with Clara, but doing a few errands by myself is so freeing and easy. I love wearing heels, but it feels pretty irresponsible to wear 4.5 inch heels while carrying a 1 year old around town. So it's almost always boat shoes or flip flops these days. Remember our college days, when I would wear belly exposing shirts and heels to studio? I was a silly girl. You can take my belly shirts, but heels will always be in my life.
