Your Summer evening reminds me of one that we shared with some company this week. Somehow, despite having a newborn, we managed to put together a beautiful feast of steamed clams and spinach herb pasta in a white wine sauce, cherries, strawberries, salad, wine, and, of course, chocolate chip cookies. I can not even begin to tell you how satisfying it was to sit outside and enjoy this delicious meal. A few times this week it has felt like my life has just begun. This was one of them. It could not have been more perfect. I think that I am beginning to have a little love affair with San Diego, our simple home, and this brilliant weather. I wish I could send the weather your way.
